Wyoming County principals and teachers met this evening to discuss the K-5 Priority Standards. Ashley Francis, Director of Academic and Assessment Programs, conducted the event. The K-5 Priority Standards document was developed by the WVDE. 🖇📄
Each team developed an action plan and will begin implementation.

Elementary and Middle School:
Tracey’s Mountain parents/students will need to meet the bus at the bottom of the mountain at 4:10pm. If not able to meet at 4:10pm, students will be delivered home about 40 minutes late.

Mrs. Crutchfield’s 2nd grade class at Berlin McKinney celebrated various American heroes last week. Each student researched, provided a title, illustration, and created an informative presentation. Go, Tribe! ❤️🖤 #ShowcaseWyCoSchools #LoveMyWVSchool


Students in Mr. Thomas’ Agriculture Class visited MJM Farms for a hands-on experience with farm management. Students learned about the Agritourism business, shoeing and cleaning horses, farm equipment and the process to building a fence. They also got to help check goat’s eyes for illness using the FAMACHA diagnostic test. Thank you to Audra and Ronnie Massie for hosting us. It was a wonderful day! 🐓🐐🧑🌾

World Autism Awareness Day occurs each year on April 2nd. On that day, Autism Speaks hosts their annual "Light It Up Blue" campaign that encourages people to wear blue and spread autism awareness. Students and staff can take part in this campaign by wearing blue.💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙
⭐️Since April 2nd is Saturday, we will celebrate on Friday, April 1st.⭐️

PreK teachers gathered today to receive their Digital Resources for Secret Stories. They had fun and discovered new ways to use the Secrets through play! Music, drama, using a kitchen blender, art, and exploratory bins are just a few of the ideas they can take back to use. Q and U had a wedding. Mommy E made an appearance and Sneaky Y had a story and a craft! Building their students’ foundation of reading through fun!!🤫❤️

Wyoming County Schools hosted the Kagan Cooperative Learning Day 1 today. A phenomenal day was had by all! 11 winners took home prizes today to assist with their implementation. 🏆
