They shared information on the conference they attended and how it impacts Wyoming County Schools via embedded and professional development workshops. AM Runs:
Tracey’s High School will need to meet Bus 165 at 6:30am at bottom of mountain.
Elementary and Middle School will need to meet Bus 165 at the bottom of the mountain at 7:45am.
PM Run:
Wyoming East Students will be delivered home by Bus 165. High School Students may be a few minutes late.
Mullens Middle and Mullens Elementary students will be delivered home on Bus 165.
Bus 165 will drop off through Corrine Bottom, across Tracey’s Mountain, then back down through Stephenson, Amigo, Wyco.
Students on the Middle and Elementary run may be 10/15 minutes late!
Pineville Elementary welcomed their new therapy dog, River, with a Pup Rally! The First Lady, Cathy Justice, along with board members, central office staff, and special guests were there to help students and staff celebrate his “Gotcha Day.” PES would like to send a special thank you to the Wyoming East High School band and cheerleaders for their participation in today’s fun event! Everyone is so excited for River to become part of our Minuteman family!🦮🐾

Over the summer, Wyoming East students attended the WVU Neuroscience Brain Camp in Morgantown. Emma Dodson, Logan Hatfield, and Logan Oliver observed cadavers, dissected and identified parts of the brain, and used portable MRI scans. Applications for Brain Camp are sent out late spring/early summer.🧠

We had a stellar evening at Glen Fork during our Title 1 Open House! Parents and students received guidance on GSA results. Students also had fun creating “Out of this World” picture frames, Oreo “Moon Phases” and Space Bingo. It was another great day to be a Glen Fork Tiger!!

In spring 2022, your student took the West Virginia General Summative Assessment (WVGSA), which measures academic progress for students and schools in West Virginia. Students in Grades 3-8 took the English language arts (ELA) reading, ELA writing, and mathematics sections of the test, with students in Grades 5 and 8 also taking science.
Your student(s) should have received or will soon receive their summative assessment score report(s) from the 2021-2022 school year.
Your child will also receive a video score report through their school email within the next few days. If you have any issues accessing the video report link, please contact your child's school for assistance.
