The West Virginia Department of Education has approved our waiver request, meaning we will NOT have to make up four snow days this school year.
📅 The last day of school will remain June 2.
Thank you to our students, staff, and families for your flexibility during this winter’s weather. We’re looking forward to a strong finish to the school year!
Wyoming County Schools celebrates Brooke Bailey, 2025 West Virginia Milken Educator, who was honored during the March meeting of the West Virginia Board of Education!
Stephanie Bishop, Vice President of the Milken Educator Awards, recognized Ms. Bailey and presented her with the Milken Educator obelisk—a powerful symbol of excellence in teaching and leadership.

Members of the Wyoming County Schools Curriculum Leadership Team visited Road Branch this afternoon and saw learning and joy in action! Students were enjoying the sunshine during outdoor recess, diving into small group instruction, and exploring a hands-on science experiment.
Best of all, it was clear that students were happy, engaged, and excited while learning. The RBS Tigers are on the move!

Principals and PLC Facilitators continued their journey through the 15-Day Challenge this evening during a dynamic Community of Practice session! Together, leaders unpacked standards and explored the power of building a shared understanding of our content standards to strengthen instruction across Wyoming County Schools.

What a day for Baileysville’s Hayden Belcher! 🏛️
Hayden, one of our 8th grade students had the opportunity to visit the state capitol for Domestic Violence Awareness Day — and got to witness history in action.
For the first time ever, Hayden watched bills being introduced and even got to meet with delegates face to face.
Experiences like this are exactly what learning looks like beyond the classroom walls. We are so proud of you, Hayden! Keep making Baileysville proud! 💙

Mrs. Phillips wrapped up the night with “Oh, the Things We Can Experiment” and “Cat in the Hat Stack Counting” and other activities that had students digging deeper into learning! What a fun day!!
