Mr. David Jarrell has been the Automotive Instructor at the Wyoming County Career and Technical Center since October 2009. Mr. Jarrell himself was a 1985 graduate of the WCCTC. Upon graduation, he was hired at the Chrysler dealership. He then enlisted in the Marine Corp from 1985-1989. After his enlistment, he worked at multiple dealerships in Charlotte, NC and Beckley, WV. Mr. Jarrell still works and tinkers with cars in his time away from the WCCTC. His students are fortunate to learn from Mr. Jarrell.🛞

Mrs. Kara Clemins is a new instructor for Therapeutic Services at the Wyoming County Career and Technical Center. She is a 2000 graduate from WCCTC CNA program and a Licensed Practical Nursing program graduate in 2004. She then continued her education at Mountain State University where she obtained her RN, BSN. Mrs. Clemins has close to 20 years experience working in long term care. She brings great experience and knowledge to the students in the Therapeutic Services at the WCCTC.👏🏼❤️

Mr. Timothy Weaver is an instructor at the Wyoming County Career and Technical Center where he teaches Informatics in the morning hours and Game Design in the afternoon. He teaches students a wide range of computer skills including image and video editing, 3D object creation and animation, programming in a variety of computer languages and computer theory. Students are also introduced to different operating systems and usage of specialized computers.Mr. Weaver holds a Bachelor of Science degree in both Education and Information Systems. He also holds a Masters Degree in Information Systems. In addition, he holds an A+Certification and also is a Cisco Certified Network Associate. We are fortunate to have Mr. Weaver as an instructor at the WCCTC.

WE would like to congratulate John Paul Lusk and Riley Cook for being accepted to Marshall University’s Honor Band! They spent the weekend rehearsing and learning at Marshall University. WE very proud of them! 🖤💚

Ms. Ruth Shrewsbury is the Practical Nursing Coordinator at the Wyoming County Career and Technical Center. She graduated from the Practical Nursing program at the WCCTC in 1989. She began working as a LPN at Princeton Community Hospital in the PCU Unit for 15 years. In 2003, she completed her Bachelors Degree in Nursing from Mountain State University. She began working in long term care and started teaching Diversified Health at the WCCTC in 2006. In 2012, she left teaching and went back into long term care full time. In 2015, she returned to the WCCTC again as the Diversified Health instructor. In 2019, she became coordinator of the Practical Nursing program. In 2017, Ms. Shrewsbury graduated from Marshall University with a Masters degree in Adult and Technical Education. Along with her coordinator position, she continues to work in long term care. Ms. Shrewsbury is proud to say she has worked alongside many of her Practical Nursing students and enjoys her nursing career as much today as she did the day she started in the health care field.🩺❤️🩹
