Students at Huff Consolidated showed support for those with Dyslexia by wearing silver or gray. Students in 7th and 8th grade also learned about different types of disabilities and the resources available by Ms. Cox of the West Virginia Division of Rehabilitation Services.🤍🤍

Westside AP Government students attended the LAWS program sponsored by the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals. Students from participating schools were divided into groups to hear oral argument in one case, followed by a "debriefing" with the attorneys who argued the case.🧑⚖️

The Therapeutic Services class at the WCCTC is selling chances on two gift cards to raise money for the Denisa Thomas Scholarship fund. This scholarship is awarded to a WCCTC Senior that plans to further their education after graduation. This week is National Disability Awareness. Pineville Middle students participated in stations that allowed them to experience what it would be like to have some of the “invisible” disabilities.
