Congratulations to the Glen Fork student who had PERFECT attendance for the month of September!! All students were treated to a movie for having 11 out 20 days that were at 95% attendance or higher during the month of September. Then, the students who had perfect attendance were also treat given an extra treat with gift card drawings! You guys are doing a fantastic job!! Keep it up!

CIS Facilities Volunteered in the Mountain Heart Fall Bash and distributed snacks out to the PreK and Head Start students.🎃🍂🍁

All Wyoming County Schools will observe a 3-hour dismissal on Thursday, October 10. This will allow for school and community participation in Westside HOMECOMING festivities. School staff will also be participating in grade level specific meetings including SAT, AIM, PLCS, and other department meetings on the alternating week.

Westside High School students will need to meet Bus 200 at Kopper City Bottom at 6:35am and then 3:05pm
There will not be a bus run for Berlin McKinney Elementary and Oceana Middle School for the AM or PM run.
Glen Fork 8th grade students had a GREAT day visiting Marshall University Flight School! Students were able to learn about the program and what it takes to pursue a career as a pilot. They also had an opportunity to practice flying in the simulator and climb into one of the newest planes on site. It was definitely an exciting visit!!

Pineville Elementary School served up some delicious Salisbury Steak today courtesy of the fantastic five cooks, Angel Davis, Karen Haynes, Vicki Evans, Kim Gobel and substitute Charlotte Burgess.
Salisbury steak was recommended as a recipe for upset stomach’s during the 1800s by Dr. James H. Salisbury.
