Students in the ProStart program at the Wyoming County Career and Technical Center are participating in a lesson comparing homemade vs. store bought nutty bars. Today they worked on analyzing the cost and process of making the homemade nutty bars.

Glen Fork Middle School students participated in the “Get a Life” Program today to learn about finances and spending. During this time, students learned to budget money based on different incomes. A special thank you to the WV Treasurer’s Office for bringing the program to us and the Wyoming East High School Leo Club for helping! We had a fantastic time!!

WCCTC Culinary Fair 2022 participants received awards for their winning entries. Emma Maynard (middle) won a $100 Amazon gift card for first place with her Chicken Alfredo. Special Services Specialists Amanda Kenneda and Debby Clay presented at the WV Reading Conference at the Greenbrier Resort. Their session focused on transforming literacy to meet the needs of diverse learners. Participates were shown how to use songs, short films and improvisational drama to teach grade level literacy skills. ❤️📚
