Kara Halsey-Mitchell, Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum & Instruction, spent time reading to students at Huff Consolidated School on Thursday in celebration of Read Across America Week. The book of the day was I Can Read with My Eyes Shut! by Dr. Seuss.
Students were wonderful listeners and showed great excitement for reading. Opportunities like this highlight the joy that books bring to our classrooms.

What a day for Baileysville’s Hayden Belcher! 🏛️
Hayden, one of our 8th grade students had the opportunity to visit the state capitol for Domestic Violence Awareness Day — and got to witness history in action.
For the first time ever, Hayden watched bills being introduced and even got to meet with delegates face to face.
Experiences like this are exactly what learning looks like beyond the classroom walls. We are so proud of you, Hayden! Keep making Baileysville proud! 💙
