Law and Public Safety class at the Wyoming County Career and Technical Center began Fingerprinting this week. Students learned how to properly fill out a print card for arrests and new applicants. Next, they learned the proper techniques for applying fingerprints to the cards for identification purposes. This process is required for every arrest made and also is used for job applicants, identification cards, and passports.🛂🪪

Wyoming East Senior Madison England, with her essay “The Olive Branch Petition,” won the George E. and Stella M. Knight Essay Contest through the Captain Ralph Stewart Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution. Her essay won not only at the school and county levels but also at the state level, moving on for judging in the national contest. 💚🖤
Madison wrote the essay as part of a research project for her English 12 class, taught by Mrs. Christy Cardwell.

Mrs. May’s 1st grade students filled up their cookie chart this past week and received cookies and juice as a reward for completing 100 iReady lessons and receiving 100% on the lessons. Each time a new chart is filled with 100 100%, they get to celebrate with a reward! Our 1st grade is awesome!

Wyoming East Students will be delivered home by Bus 202. High School Students may be a few minutes late.
Mullens Middle and Mullens Elementary students will be delivered home on Bus 202.
Bus 202 will drop off through Corrine Bottom, across Tracey’s Mountain, then back down through Stephenson, Amigo, Wyco.
Students on the Middle and Elementary run may be 20-30 minutes late!
ALL after school activities for Westside High School have been cancelled!
This includes practices and after school learning enrichment/tutoring.
