What an amazing evening of CELEBRATING SUCCESS at the Wyoming County BOE meeting! We are so proud of everyone’s achievements!👏🏼❤️#ShowcaseWyCoSchools

First through third grade teachers worked through the components of the Science of Reading yesterday. Teachers received resources to support their instruction and intervention. They had time to discuss and share ideas they found useful, consider changes to daily practice, and have productive conversations on phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, and writing. Marissa Schomaker shared how she uses orthographic mapping for small group instruction. The session was lead by Amy Mitchell and facilitated by Nina Tunstalle and Katherine Dudley.📚

As you go to put away the new Christmas items and clean out the old, save it up for the WCCTC Goodwill drive and help send our students to their SKILLS USA competition in March! To our knowledge, all items are accepted and money is earned by the pound donated! Drop offs can be taken during school hours and an after hours schedule will be shared for that drop off week soon!

Wishing you a Merry Christmas!🎄

Christmas break is in full swing! Time to put those textbooks on the shelf, embrace the family time, and enjoy every bit of this festive season. Sending warm wishes to our fantastic students, parents, and hardworking staff for a holiday filled with joy. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all!🎄❄️
We will welcome our students back on January 3, 2024!

Mrs. Angel Lane, Wyoming County’s Director of Personnel, stopped by Westside today to speak to Tolley about a career in education. Many colleges close to home offer education degree programs, plus a career choice like that would allow Tolley to be able to stay right here in Wyoming County taking care of kids!

Glen Fork 4th grade students were getting into the Christmas Spirit by reading “How The Grinch Stole Christmas” this morning. They used their agree/disagree cards to discuss the story and practice completing sequencing chart and problem solution graphic organizers.
