Wyoming County Schools was awarded 15.7 million dollars in NEEDS Grant funding from the WV School Building Authority. WyCo Schools was the third highest funded county in the state. These SBA funds, along with Local Facilities Bond Funds, will fund the New Mullens PK-8 School. Other Facilities Bond funds will go toward a variety of facilities improvements across the county. Superintendent, Deirdre Cline, is pictured with other Superintendents receiving SBA funds along with Governor Jim Justice. It’s a great day for the children of Wyoming County! WyCo Schools is very grateful to the citizens of our county for the continuing support of the children of WyCo! Our citizens show that children matter! Thank you!

Wyoming County Schools will be on a 3 hour delay tomorrow, December 11, due to inclement weather.
Glen Fork 5th and 6th grade students utilized their Summary Mats to discuss what acid rain does to rocks. After gathering their ideas, students completed an experiment to determine if their ideas were correct. Our students are loving the new resources provided through Instructional Empowerment!

Wyoming County Schools presented at Stonewall Resort today for the WV Association of School Administrators, Superintendent’s Conference. We were proudly represented by Lori Blevins (Oceana Middle principal), Katie Endicott (Westside High principal), Tiffany Clemins (Wyoming East teacher), Brian Dillon (Pineville Middle principal), and Justin Endicott (Huff Consolidated principal). The group, along with Superintendent Deirdre Cline, and Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction, Kara Mitchell, presented on increasing rigor through Instructional Empowerment. Wyoming County Schools made a very positive impression on the learning community today.

7th and 8th grade students at Baileysville Elementary and Middle School toured the Green Power Motor Company in South Charleston today. 🌱 🚌
Students were able to see state-of-the-art machinery, innovative technology, and ask questions about this incredible new industry in our state. This company utilizes West Virginia’s natural resources and economic opportunities to create jobs centered on long lasting, efficient transportation methods.

Wyoming East's STEM project aimed at reducing freshwater pollution made it to the top 5 for West Virginia in the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow contest.
